I'm still registered as Dem when I voted for Bernie. I want to vote for Jill Stein. Can I vote for Jill in the General Election if I'm still registered as a Democrat?

by Don Ellis

WARNING: Hillary trolls' new strategy

I'm still registered as Dem when I voted for Bernie. I want to vote for Jill Stein. Can I vote for Jill in the General Election if I'm still registered as a Democrat?

I have seen this exact question copied and pasted to start a thread in several Jill/Green Facebook groups during the last week or so.

All it does is waste people's time, responding to the question, and having less-informed people wondering if they need to change their party affiliation before the general election.

You can vote for anyone you want in any general election in any state, it doesn't matter what party you are affiliated with.

Don't let anyone try to tell you any different.

And don't waste time that you could be using to promote Jill and the Green Party. That's what the HillBot trolls want, don't fall for their BS.

Other HillBot trolls will jump into the thread, telling you to change your registration to Green before the general election.

This is 100% not necessary, and all it can do is possibly leave you not registered at all in the general election.

Keep up the great work folks, keep spreading the word about Jill and the Green Party platform.

Don't feed the trolls.

Jersey Greens to meet October 3

Join your fellow progressive neighbors in Gloucester County, New Jersey and learn how we can build the Green Party in our area.

The Green Party is growing rapidly in New Jersey, and we are forming local chapters across the state that can organize and take the bold steps needed to end the domination of the 2 corporate parties.

At this meeting, we will also be recruiting volunteers for Jill Stein's presidential campaign.

Jill is the only candidate who puts people over profits every time. She’s also the only candidate in the race that stands with the American voter on common-sense policies including:

  • Getting off fossil fuel by 2030 to stop climate change
  • A Green New Deal jobs program that would provide good jobs to replace and repair our crumbling infrastructure as well as protect our planet.
  • Making higher education tuition-free to all
  • Single-payer health care as a right

The buzz about the Green Party and Jill's campaign is growing every single day. Help us continue to keep this revolution moving forward. RSVP for this event today!

Dr. Jill Stein, Ajamu Baraka speak out on police killing of Keith Lamont Scott

By Don Ellis

Another person of color has died at the hands of a local police department in this country, and as would be expected, people are not happy about it.

Keith Lamont Scott, a disabled father of seven, was killed by the Charlotte (N.C.) Police Department on Tuesday. The official police story is that he brandished a gun, but a story published by U.S. News & World Report reports a different scenario:

But a woman who claims to be Scott's daughter live-streamed a video, where she said he was not carrying a weapon and that he was reading a book while waiting for the bus to drop his son off from school.
"The police just shot my daddy four times for being black," the woman said.

The shooting has led to riots and protesting in Charlotte late Tuesday and early Wednesday, with about 12 police officers being injured in the violent protests, according to U.S. News & World Report.

According to the American government's Missile Defense Agency, "The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) element provides the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) with a globally-transportable, rapidly-deployable capability to intercept and destroy ballistic missiles inside or outside the atmosphere during their final, or terminal, phase of flight."

Contact the Debate Commission, tell them to include Jill Stein

 Commission on Presidential Debates

by Don Ellis

The Presidential debates are now less than a week away, and so far the Commission on Presidential Debates has continued to insist that neither Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein nor Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson will be allowed to join the one-party oligarchy candidates on the debate stage.

While we certainly should protest by not watching the debates in their current exclusionary format, it is not too late to contact the members of the debate board and insist that they include all candidates who are on the ballot in enough states to win the Presidential election.

Stein, Green Party call for voters to protest Presidential debates

Green Party leaders are urging voters across the U.S. to express their anger in response to an announcement from the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) on Friday that alternative-party candidates would be barred from the debates.

"Voters deserve the right to know about all the candidates who'll be on the ballot on Election Day. The CPD has violated that right by rigging the debates. Americans should protest loudly and demand that control over the debates be taken away from the CPD," said Dr. Cecile Lawrence, co-spokesperson for the Green Party's National Women Caucus and 2010 candidate for U.S. Senator from New York.

Green presidential nominee Jill Stein and running mate Ajamu Baraka have published a call for protest and civil disobedience at Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island, the site of the first debate on Monday, September 26.

"The debate rules aren't meant to block 'unviable' candidates. They're designed to stop alternative-party candidates from becoming viable," said Julia Willebrand, co-spokesperson for the Green Party's National Women Caucus and Green candidate for State Senate in New York's District 31.

Jill Stein Labor Day statement

Green Party Presidental candidate Dr. Jill Stein released the following statement on Labor Day Monday, September 5, 2016:

On this Labor Day, working people are experiencing an economic emergency. The economy is rigged to allow the rich to get richer while ordinary Americans are thrown under the bus. The economy is controlled by two corporate parties that have created an economic crisis, and a crisis in democracy. We need to reflect on what we must do to transform economic and political systems so they serve the people, not just the elites.

Unbiased poll shows Jill Stein at 20.8%

by Don Ellis

According to a poll currently being conducted on, Green Party candidate Jill Stein is performing much better in a 4-way Presidential race than what is being reported anywhere by the mainstream media.

Our friend and comrade Mandy Kinney, host of #Just Sayin' With Mandy Kinney on the Berniecrats Radio Network, was kind enough to share this piece of information on the Berniecrats' Facebook page, and we owe her a huge piece of gratitude for doing so.

The poll started on Monday, August 29, and as of this morning when I placed my vote for Jill Stein, the race was extremely close:
  1. Hillary Clinton, 31.9%
  2. Donald Trump, 29.3%
  3. Jill Stein, 20.8%
  4. Gary Johnson, 16.2%
  5. Someone else, 1.2%
As I am typing this, there have been 5,179 votes cast in the poll. According to their website, icitizen is "a nonpartisan civic engagement app that facilitates open communication and collaboration between citizens and their elected leaders to shape the policies that affect their lives."

GPR Episode 2 - Sunday, 9 AM ET
